Purgatorius is a Cretaceous and Palocene mammal. It is the size of a rat and eats bugs. It lived in burrows under ground. This small mammal is considered to be related to humans beging the earliest primeape or a proto primeape. It is one of the few creatures to survive the K-T Extinction at the end of the cretaceous period.
