Iberomesornis is a small bird from the early Cretaceous. It was discovered in Spain. It nested in groups, a lone one of these birds are victims to large pterasaurs but multiply of these birds can fend off these giant reptiles. By pecking and scratching at the giant pterasaurs they can drive them off. They may ate bugs and seeds. Males would be brightly coloured compared to the females which would be dull in colour.
