Hypnerpeton was a Amphibian from the Devonian period. It lived in fresh water rivers and able to come on to land. When predators are around it is able to come on to land and escape predators. It ate mostly arachnids that lived on the river edges. During the day must spend its time in water so its skin would not dry out, but when night comes around it is able to survive on land for longer periods of time. During certain periods of time they would find territory along beaches and fight with other males for the rights of breeding with females. Unlike a physical confrontation it is a battle of the lowest sound that they make. Once a female chooses there male they would come to the water edge and lay there eggs and sperm into the water. Large fish like Hyneria and sharks like Stethacanthus are a common threat to these creatures.
