Darwinopterus was a larger and more improved version of pterosaurs during the Jurassic. It was large enough to hunt dinosaurs and other prey. But still small enough to be prey for much larger prey. It was named after a famous scientist named Darwin. His name sake is also shared with a latter primeape called Darwinius.
